Vice President, Marketing & Customer Service

Celebrating his 10th anniversary with Blach Construction in 2012, Matt plays a broad-based role in the organization overseeing a variety of programs and activities including marketing, communications, customer service and corporate philanthropy. 

Among other responsibilities, he and his team work closely with the Business Development group to produce winning proposals and interview presentations in the pursuit of new business and coordinate client appreciation events to build strong relationships.  In addition, Matt is spearheading the company's customer service initiative, which is designed to provide world-class experiences for Blach's clients.  A member of the Blach Leadership Team since 2002, Matt is also an active leader in the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan.

Prior to joining Blach Construction, Matt had a successful, 10-year career in high-technology marketing and communications working with companies like Pacifico, Verio and OpenTV.  Matt began his career working in politics after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from San Jose State University in 1990. Upon graduation, Matt held staff positions with two State Assembly members and a number of political campaigns.

A dedicated community volunteer, Matt has served on the boards of directors for several non-profit and trade organizations including Sacred Heart Nativity Schools and Chamber PAC.  He currently serves on the board of trustees for Via Services, Gateway School and the Rotary Club of San Jose, where he has been an active member since 2003.
