Heising-Simons Foundation Selects Blach for Office Renovation

Santa Clara, Calif. —  (October 14, 2014)- The Heising-Simons Foundation recently selected Blach Construction Company to build its new 10,000 square-foot headquarters in Los Altos.

The tenant improvement project, located in a new building being constructed at 400 Main Street, will include offices, conference rooms and common areas, as well as upgrades to existing building mechanical systems. Blach Construction is collaborating with long-time design partner Hawley Peterson Snyder Architects (www.hpsarch.com) for the project, which is scheduled to begin construction November 2014 and is expected to complete March 2015.

“We are delighted to be working with Blach Construction,” said Heising-Simons Foundation Executive Director Deanna Gomby. “We are early in the process, but are already enjoying our interactions with all their staff and the expertise and good judgment that they are bringing to the project.”

“Heising-Simons Foundation’s interests in sustainability, science research and early education align so well with our interests that this partnership feels very natural,” commented Michael Blach, president & CEO of Blach Construction.  “We are thrilled to be able to work with our friends at HPS to build an exciting space that really highlights what makes the Heising-Simons Foundation so special.”
