Workday Student Center at Monte Vista High School
In 2013, Blach completed construction of a $14.8M new Workday Student Center project, located at the Monte Vista High School Campus.
Features of the Center include a new library space, a multimedia center, four study/collaboration rooms, a café, a student store, meeting rooms and open-seating/lounge areas.
Continuing a decades-long relationship, Blach is partnering with San Jose-based design firm, Steinberg Architects, to build the Center.
Situated at the top of a hillside campus, the new 18,500 s.f. Center has replaced the existing 7,000 s.f. library built in 1964. The building seeks to create a modern indoor/outdoor learning environment that uses the design of social spaces to strengthen traditional learning methods.
