In 2015, Blach Construction moved its headquarters from Santa Clara to San Jose.
The project was completed on an aggressive schedule and in conjunction with Pillars Architecture. It included the transformation of an existing office building within a business park into a cutting-edge campus with modern finishes and features.
The 50,000 sq.ft. office includes a Building Information Modeling (BIM) lab, open air work spaces, a kitchen and bar, gymnasium, outdoor patio with a putting green and bocce ball court and more than a dozen conference and training rooms. Additionally, the building features numerous energy-saving, sustainable elements, such as a new, dual-glazed, Low-e window wall system, all LED lighting and a solar thermal heating system - one of the first for any commercial office in California.
The building also houses a 9,500 sq.ft. prefabrication facility that supports Blach's projects by improving efficiency, field working environment and worker safety.
