Navigating COVID-19

May 28, 2020

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has been an unprecedented situation affecting us all. At Blach Construction, we will continue to do everything we can to stop the spread of the virus, protect the health and well-being of our customers, colleagues, business partners and communities.

Safety First

Many of our projects were deemed Essential during the Shelter in Place Orders that were issued initially on March 16, 2020. Because our top priority is to ensure the safety of our extended teams while they continue building the crucial infrastructure required throughout our communities, we very quickly developed and implemented stringent new Safety Protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) that are now standard practice.

Working Responsibly

Construction is a collaborative business based on in-person teamwork. Being that COVID-19 is still a very real threat, we will continue to mandate all of the recommended distancing safeguards and other sanitation measures as suggested by public health officials in our offices, field trailers and across our jobsites.

Efficiencies Realized

Our teams – the majority of which never stopped working – have remained highly productive and efficient throughout this entire ordeal. We attribute this to the heavy investments we’ve made in technology over the years. The systems we have in place enable us to work remotely and keep our projects moving forward safely and effectively.

Stronger Together

For 50 years, Blach has contributed to the underlying foundation of the greater Bay Area, and we remain steadfast in doing so as the coronavirus pandemic continues to unfold. We will monitor our employees, our projects and our protocols, adapting accordingly and as often as needed. We appreciate everyone’s continued patience, understanding, support and flexibility during this challenging time. Together, we must remain united and empathetic as we navigate the new norms ahead.

Wishing you good health!
