Blach Construction Response to COVID-19

March 17, 2020

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is an unprecedented situation and our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected. At Blach Construction, we are doing everything we can to help slow the spread of the virus, keeping the health and well-being of our customers, colleagues, and community top of mind.

Open and Active

Rest assured, we are open for business and will continue to service our projects and partners with the highest level of professionalism during this challenging time. Our top priority is to ensure the safety of our extended teams and the continuity of our still-active, essential projects, pursuant to the Bay Area’s six-county, similarly worded Shelter in Place Orders that were issued on March 16, 2020.

Social Responsibility

Construction is a collaborative business based on in-person teamwork. Even so, we have mandated all of the recommended distancing safeguards and other measures as suggested by public health officials for all of our active business dealings – in our offices, field trailers and across our jobsites.

 Virtual Collaboration

Currently, Blach offices and essential project jobsite trailers remain open for Blach personnel only and we strongly encourage limited and responsible employee interaction. We’ve placed a moratorium on in-person meetings, events and travel and have expanded the use of numerous virtual workforce and meeting tools that enable our teams to work, communicate and collaborate remotely.

Stronger Together

For 50 years, Blach has contributed to the overall health of the greater Bay Area. That will not change. We will continue to monitor our employees, our active, essential projects and the protocols we have put in place, adapting accordingly and as needed. We appreciate everyone’s continued patience, understanding, support and flexibility during this challenging time.  Together, we must each do our part to get through this as quickly and safely as possible.

Health and well-wishes from Blach Construction!
