Serving the needs of San Mateo and Santa Clara County communities, the OSHPD-3 facility will provide a new, state-of the-art space that will enable Gardner Family Health Network to provide clinic space and administration support for the LPCH physicians that care for patients of GFHN. The space will feature 16 exam rooms, two medicine/injection rooms, two treatment rooms, nurses’ stations, medical assistant work spaces, and a doctor’s work space.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to forge new relationships with Gardner Family Health Network and Shepley Bulfinch through the construction of this project,” said Scott Bergstrom, Healthcare Group Leader. “This will be a great addition to Blach’s growing healthcare portfolio.”

Blach is working with Shepley Bulfinch, a 100+ year-old national architecture firm based in Boston, to renovate the clinic. The design firm’s San Francisco office will be leading the effort, with assistance from key personnel in the Phoenix and Boston offices. Preconstruction is underway, with construction scheduled to commence in May 2013 and complete in October 2013.

Blach is employing cutting-edge technology on this project by creating a complete scan of the space, garage, and roof equipment areas in order to allow the design team to move quickly on this project in the absence of as-built drawings. This model will later be used to facilitate the project’s design and construction phases.
